Bank Partners is proud to be delivering the new Priory Bank - offering flexible shifts for Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) and Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) for one of the UK's best-known names in care.

Here, we find out from Operations Manager Michelle Marples why signing up to Priory Bank could be the best decision for your healthcare career.

What makes Priory different?

Priory is one of the UK's best-known names in specialist care, helping thousands of people across the country to be happier and healthier every year. But, they're not just committed to their patients - they provide a fantastic working environment, with a culture of wellbeing and progression. It's the perfect next step if you're looking for a rewarding career where you'll be supported and invested in.

What other benefits are there?

Joining Priory Bank means you can choose the times and days that you work - so you can fit your hours around family, studies, or even other work if you want. Being able to book 12 weeks in advance means you'll always have the security of knowing when you're working.

Every Priory site has its own perks and characteristics that make it unique, but you can expect benefits such as:

  • Free onsite parking
  • Free meals during the day for most sites or heavily subsidised meals
  • Shifts available to book far in advance
  • RRIT training provided
  • Working in beautiful, unique locations
  • Small and friendly teams
  • Dedicated bookings team for enquiries
  • On site gym

What can I expect from the job?

Our mental health nurses are the backbone of Priory's world-class mental health services. Priory's small, friendly teams will make sure you know how much you are valued. You can expect to see first-hand how much your work makes a difference to our patients, as well as learning and development tailored to your needs. You will also be supported in delivering excellent patient care within a fantastic team.

Priory puts as much support and investment into their Healthcare Assistants as they do into their clinical workforce. With teams that are committed, close-knit, approachable, and friendly, working HCA shifts at Priory sites means taking on a flexible and rewarding role where all training is provided. If you'd like more information, please contact our team who will be happy to help.

What are the requirements?

For our mental health nurses, we are looking for:

  • NMC Registered
  • Strong clinical knowledge, good initiative, and a proactive approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Honesty, integrity, and a caring and compassionate approach to patients

HCA requirements are:

  • Great communication skills
  • Compassionate, understanding and supportive to our patients needs
  • Have an understanding of mental health
  • Experience working within a mental health setting desirable but not essential as an induction will be provided
  • HCA experience is desirable but not essential, training can be provided

Finally, why would you recommend someone join Priory Bank to continue their career in care?

I’d have to say the thing that’s impressed me the most about working with Priory so far is the amazing working culture. This is such a modern way of working for healthcare professionals – with a welcoming atmosphere and lovely, small teams that make you feel part of the family. It’s such a rewarding place to build a career – and by working bank shifts, you can have the best of both worlds with a great working environment and full flexibility of shifts. It’s a win-win!
