Allied Health Professionals, also known as AHP’s, are the third largest workforce in the NHS. The majority are degree level professions and the sector includes a number of different roles such as Dietitians, Occupational therapists, Osteopaths, Paramedics, Physiotherapists, and Radiographers. Almost all the roles are regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), apart from Osteopaths who are regulated by the General Osteopathic Council (GOC).
