Congratulations to our Bank Worker Award winners. We’re pleased to announce our winners Ann Marie Benjamin, Ella Tan and Lucky Gumbo. Our award is to recognise the hard work, commitment and compassionate care our workers have continued to demonstrate whilst working with the bank.
We met with the winners to give them their prizes and asked them a few questions; here is what they had to say.
Ann Marie Benjamin
How does it feel to win Bank worker of the quarter?
So surprised. I was aware that there was a competition happening but I never thought I would actually win!
What do you plan to spend the voucher on?
I'd like to go for a nice dinner for two in London somewhere.
What do you enjoy most about working for the Barts Health Staff Bank?
I like the flexibility of bank work. I regularly work in outpatients at RLH and Newham so I'm familiar with all the permanent staff.
Ella Tan
How does it feel to win Bank worker of the quarter?
I'm really happy. I can't believe that I've been presented with this on my birthday too.
What do you plan to spend the voucher on?
I'll probably go for a nice spa day. I have some annual leave coming up so it'll nice to relax for a day.
What do you enjoy most about working for the Barts Health Staff Bank?
It gives me an opportunity to see what is happening out of hours, and the extra pay is great, and our department has a nice and friendly atmosphere so I enjoy working there.
Lucky Gumbo
How does it feel to win Bank worker of the quarter?
Amazing, I feel like I am appreciated and have been noticed for all my hard work and it is motivation to push me to work harder.
What do you plan to spend the voucher on?
I am going to take my daughter on a lovely day out as she has had a really hard time at school recently.
What do you enjoy most about working for the Barts Health Staff Bank?
Sophie and Katie always look after me and the senior sisters have got to know me so I feel like part of the Whipps Cross team.
