Band 6 Health Visitor Universal Services
We are looking for band 6 Heath Visitors to join our team at Whittington Health on both a line of work and ad hoc bases.
The Health Visitor is responsible for the delivery of Universal Health Services to designated areas and Children’s Centres. Reporting to the Team Leader/Locality Manager they will support the development of the service and work with colleagues to ensure the delivery of a safe and effective Universal Health Provision.
You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and identifying need within a family or community.
You will support the implementation of service development, standard setting, clinical audit and benchmarking. To deliver needs-led evidence based care that supports the local and national priorities and policies and be the principal point of contact for allocated GP Practices in an area. To develop and deliver co-operative working arrangements with GP services that support healthy outcomes for children and their families and facilitate partnership working across Primary Care and other partner organisations.
You will also be the principal point of contact for allocated Children’s Centres in an area. To develop and deliver co-operative working arrangements with Children’s Centres that support healthy outcomes for children and their families and facilitate partnership working across Children’s Centres and other partner organisations.
You will work with local statutory, private and voluntary providers and users to develop and promote practice that is accessible and responsive to all section of the local community, ensuring that services are targeted to the most vulnerable groups and individuals to support social inclusion.
- Health Visiting professional qualification, with entry onto the 3rd part of the NMC Register
- 6 Months experience in a similar position within a NHS Trust
