Barts Health NHS Trust are recruiting an experienced critical care nurse to join their dynamic team within the ICU unit of one of their committed, fast-paced and world-class hospitals in London.

Barts is one of the largest NHS trusts in England, overseeing St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Newham Hospital, Mile End Hospital, Whipps Cross Hospital, and The Royal London Hospital; all of which provide exceptional High Dependency (HDU) and Intensive Care (ICU) services to the sickest patients. Barts Health’s highly qualified team of doctors, nurses, and other specialists work round the clock to provide the most expert level of care, and their Adult Critical Care Unit (ACCU) at The Royal Hospital London is by far one of the busiest and most respected in the country.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe delivery of individualised care to the most high-risk patients, while working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team. Important Requirements:

  • NMC Registration & ITU qualified
  • At least 6 months NHS experience in that last 3 years
  • Robust clinical knowledge, strong initiative, and an ability to remain calm and work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Honesty and integrity, and a caring patient-centred approach
