Moorfields NHS Trust the leading provider of eye health services in the UK and a world class centre of excellence for ophthalmic research and education is looking to appoint a Band 7Deputy Finance Business Partner on their staff bank to fulfil a role at one of their sites in central London.

Job Summary:

To ensure all processes and procedures are in place to ensure that the corporate departments in the trust are provided with relevant, accurate and timely management information performance

To take the lead on Financial management support for the corporate functions within the trust

To ensure department wide reporting data is updated and reconciled monthly and annual budget setting assumptions are input accurately into departmental reporting, planning and forecasting system

Lead, plan and coordinate the annual budget setting process for the corporate areas

Provide specialist technical accounting and business knowledge, strong analytical skills and effectively communicate complex finance issues to non-finance people.

To be accountable to the chief financial officer for corporate departments adherence to statutory accounting requirements,DH and NHS Improvement accounting standards and trust standing financial instructions

Person Specifications

Educated to First Degree or Equivalent Professional Experience

The post holder must be a minimum of a  finalist of s CCAB body (or CIMA) and can be actively undertaking continuing professional development

Experience of supporting budget holders at Senior level

Experience of Management Accounting

Experience of Producing and Presenting Financial results

Experience of financial forecasting and budget setting

Thorough experience of financial management gained within a complex environment, budget control, finance modelling, forecasting and management information processes

Advanced skills in MS Excel

Ability to explain highly complex financial issues clearly and concisely to non-finance managers
