Band 7 Pharmacist - Royal United Hospital - Bath

Bank Partners are looking for a Band 7 Pharmacist who will provide high-quality, patient-focused clinical pharmacy service across Great Western Hospital. The postholder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the safe, effective, and economical use of medicines, contributing to excellent patient care while supporting service delivery across a variety of clinical specialties.

The role requires an experienced clinical pharmacist who can work independently, provide expert medicines advice, and support the development of pharmacy services. Bank pharmacists will be expected to work flexibly to meet service demands, including weekends, late shifts, and bank holidays as required.

Main duties and responsibilities:
1. To provide a high-quality clinical pharmacy service to allocated wards ensuring the efficacious, safe, and cost-effective use of medications

2. To provide, as per the weekly rota, pharmacist support to the dispensary within the Trust. This will include acting as the Responsible Pharmacist and working as the sole pharmacist.

3. Act as a mentor to pharmacy colleagues if required

4. Act as a non-medical prescriber (if qualified) to make prescribing decisions, including de-prescribing, and prescribe for patients within admissions area

Essential Criteria:

Master's degree is Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent

Foundation or pre-registration Pharmacist training and experience

Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

Clinical Pharmacy Diploma or equivalent experience

Evidence of continuing professional development
