Kingston Hospital is a busy, flourishing District General Hospital with approximately 550 beds. The Emergency Department (ED) opened in December 2001. A Clinical Decisions Unit will be opened this November (2016); a £22 million development (Kingston Surgical Centre) was opened in 2007, including new surgical wards and an education and training centre. A state-of- the-art oncology unit (Sir William Rous Unit) was opened in 2008.
The Hospital is based about 12 miles from the centre of London with good transport links into the capital and in a beautiful and historic part of the country. It lies very close to Richmond Park and is close to Hampton Court Palace and Kempton Park, and the River Thames. Further information may be found on the hospital web site at www.kingstonhospital.nhs.uk.
