Kingston Hospital is a busy, flourishing District General Hospital with approximately 550 beds. The Emergency Department (ED) opened in December 2001 and now sees approximately 115,000 patients per year, with a varied and diverse case mix. The department has had a significant investment in the last 2 years with a new 6 bedded Clinical Decisions Unit, expanded Resuscitation Room, additional majors cubicles to include a dementia friendly zone and co-located Urgent Treatment Centre and Mental Health Assessment Unit to improve the emergency care pathway.
The Division and Executive Team are committed to transforming urgent and emergency care services in the Hospital over the next three years and are looking for ambitious and motivated individuals to help shape and drive this programme.
Annualized Rota and self-rostering can be considered in line with the departmental service requirements.
