Rehabilitation Engineering Technician – Wheelchair Maintenance Band 4

 

Job Summary:

The job is based at the wheelchair maintenance facility, near to the wheelchair service and the essential function is to provide a dedicated, efficient, mobile, wheelchair repair and maintenance service to the users of powered and manual wheelchairs as well as specialised posture management equipment prescribed through the contracting services.

This post provides the delivery and collection of equipment as well as carrying out repairs and maintenance under supervision.

This job requires that the post holder use vehicles supplied by the Rehabilitation Engineering Division, to visit; hospitals, special schools, private houses and other establishments to carry out their work where the environments may be unhygienic, cramped and the users may be distressed that their equipment is not functioning correctly

Hours: 37.5 Per week
