Band 6 Neonatal Staff Nurse,
We are looking for enthusiastic, professional nurses who want to make a real difference for the patients in our care to join our temporary staffing. As a Band 6 nurse, you must be an NMC registered nurse, possess Neonatal Qualified in Specialty (QIS) training, we offer an excellent opportunity to consolidate your experience in our unit.
You should expect to be supported, supervised, challenged and mentored by our experienced staff and Practice Development Nurse.
Our Neonatal Unit
Kings College Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, based on Denmark Hill is within Zone two on the British Rail and London Underground with the closest station being Denmark Hill Station. Our unit is a perinatal referral centre within South London Operational Delivery Network. The unit consists of 12 ICU cots, 12 High Dependency cots and 12 Special care cots. We are a designated Neonatal Surgical Centre for South London and accept in-utero and post-natal transfers from throughout the South East of England, Kent & Medway Towns, Brighton & West Sussex and within London.
We serve a maternity department which caters for over 6,000 deliveries per annum and is well supported by the world renowned Harris Birthright Fetal Medicine Unit led by Professor Nickolaides.
Our nurses have the responsibility for planning, managing and coordinating clinical care for babies requiring high level of nursing care and supporting staff to develop these skills on the unit. We focus on developing nursing leaders for the future and therefore alongside a full team of Practice Development Nurses, provide individualised professional leadership and clinical development.
Our nurses work with change and challenge to ensure improved lives and future for neonates and families.
A major planned redesign and refurbishment of our unit means we will have state of the art facilities with the provision of additional cots and improve service to the population, why not come and be a part of a fantastic unit at this exciting time?
