Moorfields Eye Hospital are recruiting an experienced Workforce Systems Lead to join their exceptional team.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The HR System lead will be the SME for workforce systems and will be responsible for:

Work closely with relevant HR colleagues and teams to manage the interfaces between HR related systems, this list is not exhaustive:

  • ESR (Electronic Staff Records)
  • Health Roster ▪ Learning Management System
  • Qliksence
  • JitBit – CRM
  • Employee Relations Case Management System
  • Support the workforce and OD dept using technology to drive the integration and improvement of workforce processes and systems
  • Liaising with system suppliers, attending and contributing to system contract management meetings and processes.
  • Drive the Workforce Systems Agenda.
  • Lead on the ESR Optimisation project.
  • Manage and develop the Senior Systems Analyst
  • Implement recommendations following the HR Systems Review
  • Responsible for HR Systems Business Cases 3
  • Lead on the mapping out of processes and workflows for the system team.
  • 1Collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure the workforce system are fit for purpose and future proof
  • Lead, implement and deliver HR systems projects as and when these arise.
  • Work with the wider HR team to understand the HR system challenges to deliver the best solution for the trust
  • Work in close partnership with the IT on system issues
  • Assess opportunities within the trust that can be supported through workforce systems
  • Expert knowledge of System compatibility
  • Ensure that the trust is developing efficiencies through the use of technology (in particular automation and the use of alternative technologies.
  • Oversee the maintenance of HR systems, policies and procedures ensuring that they support the trust’s objectives and are applied consistently using common documentation. 18. Projects Led define and deliver improvement initiatives and change projects to enhance service performance and employee experience, which deliver measurable improvement through feedback.
  • The postholder will be a member of the HRLT and will attend relevant Workforce & OD meetings as the HR Systems SME

 General Duties

  • To comply at all times with the requirements of the Health & Safety regulations under the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) and to take responsibility for the health and safety and welfare of others in the working environment ensuring that agreed safety procedures are carried out to maintain a safe environment.
  • To comply at all times with the Trusts Information Governance Policy. The policy sets out the accountability and reporting arrangements for Information Governance in the trust and how assurance is provided that the Trust continues to meet at least the minimum standards of information governance compliance required by the NHS Information Governance Toolkit.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) (formerly CRB) checks are now a mandatory part of the NHS Six Recruitment Check Standards for all staff whom, in the course of their normal duties, may have regular access to patients and children and/or vulnerable adults. Important Requirements (Essential):

  • Masters degree or equivalent experience At least 1 year experience working within an Ophthalmology Department
  • HR Systems subject matter expert
  • Experience in project management of system deployment with proven delivery of complex projects
  • Experience of managing an end to-end implementation of an HR System
  • Technical and practical experience of implementing HR systems
  • Team Management
  • Must have excellent technical systems knowledge
  • Have an understanding of Change Management, Human Resource Management and Communication
  • Highly skilled in use of translating business processes into workflows within systems.
  • Able to write reports
