The NHS needs you! North Middlesex University Hospital are seeking friendly and enthusiastic individuals looking to undertake a rewarding volunteer role supporting the hospital.
Each and every one of our NHS volunteers make a significant difference to our patients, visitors and our staff and are a vital part of the team. We highly value the time and commitment our volunteers give.
We need volunteers to help out with the following:
- Support in making and distributing tea, coffee, water
- General assistance for patients at mealtimes- completing menus etc.
- Social activities - talking, listening and reading to patients
- Help patients navigate the hospital and departments
- Provide admin/telephony support to ward staff
- General housekeeping in public areas
Is it right for me?
Successful applications are subject to two references, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and occupational health clearances. We’re looking to fast-track volunteers so you can join the North Middlesex family as soon as possible.
How long can I volunteer for?
It is completely up to you how much time you are willing to offer; however we do ask that you commit for a minimum of 2 months and ideally for an average of approximately 4+ hours per week.
What happens next?
When you have submitted your application one of the team will get in contact with you to discuss the roles and which one would be best suited to you. We can also discuss the requirements in more detail and answer any questions you may have about becoming a volunteer.
