Moorfields NHS Trust the leading provider of eye health services in the UK and a world class centre of excellence for ophthalmic research and education is looking to appoint a sales ledger assistant to their Staff Bank to fulfil a role at one of their sites in central London. This is a full time temporary role Mon- Fri -37.5hrs weekly

JOB SUMMARY:
The post holder takes sole responsibility for the Sundry Sales Ledger, including raising invoices, cash posting, credit control and any other ad hoc duties as necessary.  The credit control element includes liaison with debtors and internal staff both verbally and in writing, for the recovery of debt, and is largely autonomous in this regard.  The Sundry Sales Ledger is by nature made up of non-standard transactions and organisations (NHS & non-NHS), and as such requires a significant level of discernment and adaptability.

The post holder will also be expected to cover for the Contracts Senior Sales Ledger Assistant during her/his absence.  The post holder will form an effective working relationship with staff from within the Finance Department and other Hospital Departments.

2. Cash posting
3.Credit control

To be successful, you must have:
At least 3 years experience within a Finance Department, including at least 1 year in an NHS organisation and have worked with computer accounting systems.
Able to work quickly and accurately
Able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
