We are currently recruiting for a Deputy General Manager with experience managing a team and assisting in implementing changes within a department. You will have a drive to pursue change and build key relationships with Senior Cluster Management team, Divisional Management team, Trust Executive Team, Outpatients Team, Patients and Relatives, Corporate Departments, GP and Service Commissioners, Tertiary referral partners and other onward patient destination organisations, CCGs and Private sector organisations/providers.
Some knowledge of Ophthalmic Care or transferrable skills is preferred but not essential.
The Deputy General Manager is a key leadership/management role within the cluster management structure and provides both operational and strategic support to the General Manager.
The post holder will have delegated responsibility from the General Manager for managing the day to day operations of the services, working closely with the Clinical Director/Clinical Leads/Service Managers and Matrons.
Working with the support of the General Manager the post holder will ensure that effective and efficient structures are in place to ensure that all standards of patient care are met and associated risk and governance matters are managed. The post holder will support the General Manager in developing efficient and effective patient centred services, meeting key financial and operational performance targets, and putting in place effective processes for delivering national/local targets, reviewing the efficiency and effectiveness of services in terms of cost effectiveness and financial flows.
Due to the nature of this role we are unable to offer the post to anyone holding a Tier 2 Visa.
