Medicines Management Pharmacy Assistant - Band 3 - UCLH

The role of a Medicines Management Pharmacy Assistant would consist of working on designated wards and perform a range a pharmacy-related duties in accordance with set procedures. This includes supporting the Pharmacists and Medicines Management Pharmacy Technicians (MMPTs) at ward level to undertake a variety of medicines management service to the wards

This is an excellent chance to collaborate with some of UCLH's most talented individuals. Here are some of the tasks that successful candidate will be responsible for: 

  • To dispense medicines in an accurate and timely manner for inpatients and outpatients as directed by MMPTs using the pharmacy computer system and automated dispensing devices where in place.
  • To participate in the ward top-up service and the direct distribution of IV fluids.
  •  To participate in the provision of a safe, efficient and timely pharmaceutical distribution service to all customers.
  • To efficiently use the pharmacy computer system to manage stock control.
  • To communicate effectively with a variety of support staff and customers e.g., purchasing dispensaries and ward staff.
