Band 5 Pharmacist - Moorfields - London

Moorfields Eye Hospital are recruiting an experienced and motivated Pharmacist to join their highly skilled and qualified team.

It provides state-of-the-art operating facilities run by some of the UK’s leading ophthalmology surgeons, providing operative services including laser treatment, vision correction, cosmetic treatment, and various other corrective treatment for a range of eye conditions.

The post-holder will participate in the Band 5 Pharmacy Technician rotation, which includes clinical Pharmacy services to day care wards, urgent care and outpatient, dispensary services, paediatric services across all Moorfields network sites with satellite pharmacies. To assist in the provision of a patient[1]focused clinical Pharmacy service to wards and departments throughout the Trust and its network sites. The post holder will participate in Band 5 cross-site Pharmacy rotations at the network sites as required.

To provide a clinical Pharmacy and dispensing service for patients in the outpatient and day care settings including clinical areas where private practice is undertaken, To assist in the provision of the specialist Ophthalmic Medicines Information Service at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. To assist in the provision of education and training within the Pharmacy department. Continuous Professional Development is encouraged and will be supported.

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy degree, MPharm or equivalent
  • Registered with GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council)
  • 1 year pre-registration training
  • Certificate/Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent
  • Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Experience
  • Recent Pharmacy experience
  • Experience of working in hospital Pharmacy
  • Experience within the field of ophthalmology
  • Experience in Medicines Information
