 North Middlesex University Hospital's Haringey community palliative care team are looking for a locum consultant for a 6 month post with the possibility of extension.  

This is an opportunity to join the Haringey CPCT (4PA) during their development phase in a new STP-wide End of Life Care project, and the NMUH hospital palliative care team (2 or 5PA) with an emphasis on link work with our Emergency Department.

NMUH is an active DGH and Oncology treatment centre with a diverse community in North London. We have a friendly, collaborative workforce, a fresh effective QIP team, and a well-established, now expanding palliative care team. 

The successful candidate would be employed via Bank at NMUH and join a team of 3 consultants there, ensuring​ mentorship and support to work on a defined QIP project to complete in this locum post - an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified consultant or also initially in an acting up role.

In Haringey they would be part of an innovative multi-provider community service, working directly and closely with our 3 local hospices - North London Hospice, St Joseph's Hospice and Marie Curie Hospice - supported by one experienced community consultant and the North London Hospice team.

Essential Skills:

  • GMC Registration
  • On Specialist Register for Palliative Medicine or eligible (within 6 months of CCT) for admission to the  Specialist Register
