Accident & Emergency Doctor –  ST1/ST2 – Portsmouth Trust

Job Summary:

The Trust SHO will be responsible for the immediate assessment and management of patients attending the Department, including the initial investigation, treatment and subsequent discharge or referral to specialist teams.

The SHO is responsible for effective communication with the on-call specialist teams and GPs based within the Community. In the event of a Major Incident the ED SHOs remain in the hospital and provide urgent medical treatment for casualties within the Emergency Department.

Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working within NHS trust
  • Relevant General Medicine experience
  • GMC registration
