Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bank Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in both children and adults on a flexible, as-needed basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with speech, language, and communication difficulties.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy and intervention to improve communication skills.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate and support patients, families, and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Important Requirements:
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- At least 6 months Speech and Language Therapy experience in the last 3 years.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
