Please note: This is a full-time role however part-time hours will also be considered.

University College London Hospital (UCLH) NHS Trust are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Senior Specialist Dietitian to join them on a temporary basis to support their Intestinal Failure Team within the University College Hospital.

The Nutrition and Dietetics department within UCLH is made up of Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered dietitians, dietetic assistants, and support workers. The team provide effective, evidence-based dietary assessment, nutritional intervention, and support to patients presenting a full range of nutrition-related symptoms and diseases. The hospital’s specialist outpatient clinics treat a full range of complex issues, including paediatric allergy, obesity, bariatrics, infant growth and feeding, multidisciplinary chronic lung disease, and specialist adult and adolescent and paediatric diabetes.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and confident individual with existing experience and specialist knowledge of parenteral nutrition to join the team.

The post holder will provide cover to Intestinal Failure patients pathway in the inpatient or outpatient setting and will be part of the wider intestinal failure MDT.

You will have the opportunity to gain experience in a large Intestinal Failure centre working with an experienced and established team and alongside a rotational band 6 Dietitian.

Important Requirements:

  • Degree level qualification in Dietetics or Nutrition.
  • Registration as a Dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • At least 6 months NHS experience in the last 3 years.
  • Commitment to providing a high-quality, professional, caring service to all patients.
  • Excellent administrative, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience of working as a team.
