Job Summary:
Portsmouth Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Radiology Department as a Band 2 Bank CT/MRI Patient Transfer Assistant. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient transfer of patients to and from the CT and MRI scanning areas, providing support to both patients and the radiology team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transfer patients to and from the CT/MRI scanning areas.
- Assist radiology staff with patient positioning and preparation for scans.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during transfers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of transfer equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providing reassurance and support.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
- Physical ability to assist with patient transfers.
