Band 6 General X-Ray Radiographer - University College London Hospital NHS Trust

This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic radiographers to join our progressive, supportive and friendly department at a major teaching hospital, in the heart of Central London.

We are looking for a dynamic, values led and patient focused radiographer. The role requires good communication skills as you would need liaise with multi-disciplinary teams. You will need to be team orientated with demonstrable teaching abilities as you will be working with under-graduates & junior staff. The successful candidate will develop their existing skill set to become one of the radiographic team supporting General X-ray rotating through UCLH Satellite Sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess referrals or request form, and justify under radiographic regulations and locally agreed protocols.
  • To prioritise patients to ensure optimum efficiency and service quality.
  • You will be providing a high-quality diagnostic service whilst maintaining a safe working Imaging environment.
  • You will be responsible for help organising the patient workflow and liaising with a multi-disciplinary team.
  •  You will ensure adherence to IR(ME)R 2017 across the department.

You should have a flexible and pragmatic approach to your work, exceptional organisational skills that will enable you to manage a varied workload ensuring safe and clinical practices, whilst always demonstrating leadership and best practice.

Important Requirements:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent in Radiography.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Radiographer.
  • At least 6 months NHS experience in the last 3 years.
  • Practical experience in planning and delivering a wide range of radiotherapy techniques.
  • Demonstrate a broad knowledge of radiography practice.
  • Commitment to providing a high-quality, professional, caring service to all patients.
  • Excellent administrative, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience of working as a team.
