The power of partnership: 10 years with Cavell

Healthcare professionals are there for patients every day, but behind every shift is a person with responsibilities, challenges and commitments of their own.

That’s why supporting the people behind healthcare matters.

This year marks 10 years since Acacium Group’s nursing brands began their partnership with Cavell. Over the past decade, colleagues have come together to raise awareness, share expertise and champion the people who care for others.

As a business built on partnership, Bank Partners understands what’s possible when organisations work together towards a common goal. This milestone is an opportunity to celebrate not only what’s been achieved, but the lasting impact collaboration can have across the healthcare community.

Putting people first

Nurses, midwives, nursing associates and maternity support workers are there for people during some of life’s most important moments. But there are times when they need someone in their corner too.

Cavell provides practical, financial and emotional support to those facing difficult circumstances. This can include ill health, bereavement, increased caring responsibilities or domestic abuse.

By helping people navigate some of life’s toughest moments, Cavell plays an important role in supporting the healthcare workforce.

“The people who care for others also need to be cared for.” – Sara James, Chief Operating Officer, UK and ROI Staffing, Acacium Group

That belief has been at the heart of the partnership for the past decade.

What partnership can achieve

Over the last 10 years, colleagues across Acacium Group have contributed in many different ways.

Fundraising activities and colleague-led initiatives have helped raise £150,000 for the charity. Teams have also volunteered their time, shared their expertise and helped more people learn about the support available through Cavell.

These collective efforts have expanded the charity’s reach and helped ensure more people know where they can turn when life becomes difficult.

For Bank Partners, this reflects the value of strong partnerships. Whether supporting healthcare organisations or contributing to the wider healthcare community, progress is often achieved when people share knowledge, work together and focus on making a positive difference.

Looking beyond the numbers

While fundraising has been an important part of the partnership, its impact extends far beyond the amount raised.

Cavell shared the story of Donna, a midwife with four young children. Her former husband was terminally ill and receiving treatment hundreds of miles away. As financial pressures increased, Donna reached a point where she could no longer afford to take their children to visit him.

Cavell helped with travel costs, allowing the family to spend valuable time together and create lasting memories.

Stories like Donna’s remind us that behind every role is a person and that the right support can make a lasting difference when life takes an unexpected turn.

Building on a decade of partnership

Healthcare continues to face workforce pressures and the challenges experienced by those working across nursing and midwifery continue to evolve.

Cavell is seeing people come to them with increasingly complex needs and is developing its services so individuals can access broader support alongside financial assistance.

As the partnership enters its next chapter, colleagues from across Acacium Group will continue working alongside Cavell to raise awareness and help ensure more people know where they can turn during difficult times.

“I want to thank everyone at Acacium who’s been involved in the partnership over the years. Your support has made a massive difference.” – Lewis Allett, Chief Executive, Cavell

Ten years on, this partnership remains a powerful example of what can be achieved when people and organisations come together around a shared purpose.

At Bank Partners, we’re proud to recognise the difference it has made so far and the positive impact it continues to have.
