Join a Bank Partners staff bank in a few simple steps

Joining a staff bank shouldn’t be complicated. Our dedicated teams will guide you through each stage of the process, keeping you informed and supported from application through to your first shift.

Whether you’re joining the staff bank at your current employer, exploring opportunities as a bank only worker, or moving from agency to bank, we’ll help make the process as straightforward as possible.

Begin your Bank Partners journey
1

Register your interest

Apply for a role or register your interest with one of our staff banks. We’ll ask for some basic information about your experience, qualifications and employment history before reviewing your application.

2

Application review

Once we’ve received your application, a member of our team will review your details to ensure you meet the requirements for the role.

If you’re a suitable match, we’ll be in touch to discuss the next steps and answer any questions you may have.

3

Complete onboarding and compliance checks

Before you can begin working through a staff bank, you’ll need to complete the necessary onboarding and compliance requirements. These checks help maintain the high standards of care delivered across the organisations we support.

Depending on the role, you may be asked to provide:

  • Right to work and identity checks
  • Professional registration (where required)
  • A full CV, including months and years, dating back to education
  • Employment references
  • Occupational health checks, including proof of immunisations (where required)
  • Enhanced or standard DBS checks (where required)
  • An overseas police check (if you have lived outside the UK for more than six months in the last five years)

In addition to the checks above, we require evidence of completed training in line with the NHS Core Skills Training Framework. If you already have evidence of previous training or competency, this may be accepted subject to verification. If not, we can support you in obtaining the required training.

Our team will support you throughout the process and keep you updated on the progress of your application.

You’ll also receive access to the Bank Partners portal, giving you one place to manage your bank work online.
