Senior Physiotherapist – Musculoskeletal Outpatient Service - London

UCLH specialises in women’s health and the treatment of cancer, infection, neurological, gastrointestinal and oral disease. It has world class support services including critical care, imaging, nuclear medicine and pathology.

The Medicine Board incorporates the divisions of Emergency Services, Critical Care, Pathology, Infection, Medical Specialities, and Clinical Support Services, led by the Medical Director.

The Therapies & Rehabilitation Department is situated on the Lower Ground floor UCH. The post holder will be based in the Therapies & Rehabilitation Department liaising with other wards and departments and the individual patients. The Physiotherapy service is managed as part of the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Outpatient Therapy Services team.

  

Job Purpose

To provide autonomous, advanced musculoskeletal Physiotherapy management to patients referred to the service by Consultants. To contribute to the education and supervision of qualified and unqualified staff and students. To contribute to the management of the department, audit, clinical governance and to maintain personal CPD. To participate in the provision of emergency weekend and public holiday services as required.

Important Requirements:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy and HCPC registered
  • At least 6 months NHS experience in that last 3 years
  • Strong clinical knowledge, good initiative, and an ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Honesty and integrity, and a caring approach to patients
