University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) are searching for a passionate and experienced Band 5 Assistant Management Accountant to join their highly skilled team.
UCLH situated in the West End of London, is one of the largest NHS trusts in the United Kingdom and provides first class acute and specialist services both locally and to patients from throughout the UK and abroad.
The new state-of-the-art University College Hospital, which opened in 2005, is the focal point of the Trust alongside six cutting-edge specialist hospitals. UCLH was one of the first trusts to gain foundation status.
The Role:
This role is responsible for assisting in the costing, invoicing, management accounting and business support for the CRF portfolio of commercial and non-commercial research studies in collaboration with industrial partners; and to provide financial information and advice to investigators, CRF and R&D management, under the line management of the CRF Finance Manager. Post holder will be required to work independently in ensuring that best practice & principles are maintained. Will critically evaluate work within area and implement improvements were necessary.
Requirements:
We are looking for a highly motivated, committed and reliable individual with experience of working within a Finance department. They will be:
- Technically competent
- Have great attention to detail abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Experienced in Accounting packages – Oracle
- Microsoft skills such as – Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in partnership with a broad range of stakeholders including clinicians.
- Proven ability to analyse complex data and translate into meaningful financial reports.
- First degree or studying towards CCAB/CIMA/ ACCA professional Accountancy qualification.
