Consultant Haematologist - Cosham
Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, forward-thinking Consultant Haematologist. This is a replacement, whole time post following the retirement of the previous post holder.
Requirements:
- FRCPath or equivalent
- M/FRCP or equivalent
- Full and Specialist registration with the GMC (or eligible within 6 months)
- MBBS, MBChB or equivalent
- Completion of GMC approved JRCPTB curriculum in Haematology (for UK trained applicants)
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (or equivalent)
Responsibilities:
- Provide consultant-level care in all aspects of haematology
- Participate in departmental activities including teaching, audit, and research
- Share duties in General Haematology, laboratory management, and Haemostasis advice
- Support the lymphoma service
- Contribute to laboratory reporting and on-call duties
- Educate and train junior medical staff and participate in teaching programs
- Engage in audit and continuous professional development
Additional Information:
- Part-time arrangements are negotiable
- Study leave of 30 days over a fixed 3-year period with a budget of £3850
