North Middlesex University Hospital (North Mid) are searching for a passionate Facilities Services Assistant to join their highly skilled domestics team.

North Mid is also proud to offer one of the largest services in the UK dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of red cell haemoglobin conditions, including sickle cell disease and thalassaemia syndromes.
JOB SUMMARY:
To work within the Facilities Management Team throughout the Trust.
The Facilities Service Assistant will be an active team member working closely with their colleagues and team leaders and with nursing staff, department staff and site managers to achieve and maintain a safe, clean and hygienic environment for all our patients, visitors and staff. Ensuring the service is carried out in a professional, efficient, friendly and polite manner, and that all appropriate materials and equipment are used in conjunction with COSHH, Health and Safety Legislation, Trust, NPSA and local policies. Comply with the latest Infection control policies at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Previous cleaning experience
•Basic literacy and numeracy skills
•Experience of using buffing machine/hanging curtains
•To be able to follow instructions, policies and procedures
•Effective communication skills
•Ability to respond to customer request in a polite, efficient manner
•NVQ level 2 Cleaning and Support Services Skills
•Understand need for confidentiality
•Understand requirements of the post
•Ability to deal with unpleasant situations eg. Blood, Vomit
•Ability to work in high risk areas, Mental Health & special needs
•Flexible/Reliable
•To be able to work as part of a team or own initiative
