We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the current Imaging ICT team at University College London Hospital.
The successful candidate will play a key role in all aspects of the daily operational duties of a variety of Imaging ICT Systems, which play a critical part of the Trusts’ diagnostic imaging infrastructure. These include PACS, RIS & Order comms
The successful candidate will maintain the Imaging IT systems, perform data validation, co-ordinate downtime and software upgrades, problem and incident trouble shoot and perform some information extraction and analysis.
You will be required to represent the Trusts’ interests at regional user forums in relation to the Imaging IT Systems.
There will be opportunities to play a key role in the future implementation of other IT systems within Imaging.
Applicants must have a good knowledge of computer systems and terminology. The ideal candidate will also be flexible in their approach to working hours and will have exceptional communication skills. Having a working knowledge of a Radiology Department is essential.
This will be a demanding post, but rewarding for the right individual. You must have clinical systems experience. PACS, RIS and other Imaging IT systems will be beneficial.
Summary of most important Experience/Skills/Qualifications required:
- Clinical ICT systems knowledge (preferably PACS/RIS) & experiences
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software equipment
- Good analytical & problem solving skills in relation to role.
- Experience of team-building, staff training and supervision
- Some knowledge of interface technologies
This role is predominantly based at Maple House just opposite Warren Street tube, however there will be travel to other sites that are within walking distance.
This role is currently being offered at a Band 6 which pays £18.65 per hour and is currently a one month assignment but there is the possibility of an extension and also other opportunities available within the Trust once that assignment comes to and end.
