We are seeking experienced Band 7 Specialist Clinical Pharmacist’s to join the Barts Health Staff Bank.
Barts is the largest NHS Trust in the UK. We operate from four major hospital sites (The Royal London, St Bartholomew’s, Whipps Cross and Newham)
This post is part of Barts Health SLT department. The therapist will work as a member of the Adult SLT Acute, Stroke and Elderly Rehabilitation teams at Whipps Cross University Hospital and Newham University Hospital.
Aim of the role
The principle objective of this role is to provide patient focused pharmaceutical care, defined as the responsible provision of medication to achieve definite outcomes that improve patients quality of life. The post holder is to communicate effectively with patients to help optimise their pharmaceutical management and through liaising with other health care professionals to design, implement and monitor therapeutic plans to optimise health outcomes.
To assist the CAG Pharmacist and Highly Specialist Pharmacist for Infection & Immunity in promoting high quality, cost-effective and safe prescribing . The post holder will provide pharmaceutical services to the Infection & Immunity departments.
The post holder will participate in education and training for pharmacists rotating in the Infection & Immunity pharmacy team at Bart’s Health, and will assist in the provision and development of clinical pharmacy services within the service.

Required for role:
- Post-graduate certificate in General Level Pharmacy or equivalent experience
- Evidence of successful relationships with ward-level and pharmacy personnel
- Evidence of good ward practice
- Experience post registration providing a clinical pharmacy service in hospital
